VIDEO: The new Amiri Maternity & Medical Clinic

The new Amiri Maternity & Medical Clinic is now open. The old maternity built in the 1940s was demolished and re-built by Dr Uchenna Nwaneri and the Margaret Okoroagu-Nwaneri Foundation (MONF). It was officially opened in April 2017. Prominent sons and daughters of Amiri contributed to the project. They include Dr Gerald Uba, Chief Cosmas Nwerem, Chief Orikagu Nwerem, Chief Bruno Akubuko, Mr Kenneth Okorie, Mr Samuel Nwambo etc.

In a continued effort to promote literacy among scholars, as well as promoting gender equality in the nook and cranny of Oru East LGA, and by extension, to Imo State, the ‘Margaret Okoroagu Nwaneri Foundation’ through the ‘Angela Nwaneri Memorial E-Library’ has strengthened the course.
